It is obtained by cutting the 223-226°C fraction from the industrial xylenol residue after cutting the 3,5-xylenol fraction in a rectifying tower, cooling, crystallization and centrifugal separation. In addition, 3,4-xylenol can also be obtained by using o-xylene as a raw material, sulfonated by sulfuric acid, and then by alkali fusion, acid precipitation and distillation.
